Request a physical sample

A screen can suggest a colour, but it cannot show the full texture, sheen and hand-applied movement of microcement. A physical SENSE sample lets you compare the finish with the project's real materials and light.

Why the physical plate matters. Screens vary, and a flat colour chip cannot show texture and sheen. A material sample shows how the tone changes with angle, how visible the trowel work is and how the finish looks beside other materials. The completed surface will not copy every mark on the sample. Microcement is applied by hand across a much larger area, so the sample confirms the general colour, texture and level of variation.

How to narrow down the choice. Start with two or three options instead of many separate favourites. Consider the room's daylight and artificial light, the size of the surface, nearby warm or cool materials and whether the wall or floor should stand out. For a project with several rooms, choose each area separately. A bathroom, main floor and feature wall can use related colours with different tones or finishes.

How to review the sample. Place it in the orientation in which it will be used. Move it through morning, afternoon and artificial light. Hold it against the actual stone, timber, metal, paint, fabric and sanitaryware where possible. Record the colour name or bespoke direction and the chosen finish. If a certain amount of texture or sheen is important, approve that as well as the colour.

Project information still matters. A sample confirms the visible finish. It does not prove that existing tiles are sound, a shower is waterproof or a floor base is stable. Include the planned application and project details so the technical review can happen at the same time. Ordering a sample does not confirm a project price or make a general performance promise.
